Together We Can Change the Course

UPDATE: COVID-19 has now officially arrived in Mozambique, with counts rising each day. As of April 15 2020, 29 cases have been diagnosed. The time is now to act to reduce local transmission and protect health professionals.

PLeDGE is working to put in place measures that will sustainably improve healthcare in Mozambique, prevent the spread of COVID-19, protect health providers, and reduce preventable deaths.

These efforts include:

  • Providing personal protective equipment to health professionals on the front lines
  • Providing hand sanitizer, temporary hand-washing buckets, and fixing sinks in healthcare facilities to prevent infection transmission
  • Supporting the Ministry of Health in developing clinical care protocols and communication/education materials to help keep patients, health professionals, and the public safe.
